The space

This property can sleep 18 people. There are 4 king size beds that technically sleeps 8 people and 10 single beds. 4 of the single beds are in a loft above the pantry on the second floor and this space DOES NOT have air conditioner. The stairs are a bit steep so please be careful when accessing the loft area.

Guest access

Guest have complete access to the whole home except the garage area and one closet. Occasionally guest might see staff in the garage doing the laundry and helping with guest request.

Other things to note

I do not allow guest to hire random people off the internet to preform personal service. Example: Chef. I do this for my protection and yours. I have recommendations in my welcome letter that is sent to you after your booking that I know personally that I refer and trust in our home.

Important Notes About Cash
Costa Rican banks and businesses will not accept torn, taped, or damaged bills. Please ensure your cash is in good condition.

Bugs & Cleanliness
Due to our rainforest climate, bugs are common in Costa Rica. Our home is treated regularly, but please avoid leaving food out—crumbs attract ants quickly.

Housekeeping
Daily cleaning service is included. This covers:
• Garbage disposal
• Sweeping
• Kitchen tidying
• Fresh towels
• Bed making

Coordinate with Carmin to choose the best time for cleaning to respect your privacy.

Hot Tub (Jacuzzi)
• One 70-gallon propane tank is included in your stay.
• Additional tanks cost $100 USD, payable in cash at checkout.
• Continuous use (day and night) is also $100/day, to cover gas and electricity.

Let Carmen or Lilander know in advance if you’d like to use it—it takes approx. 45 minutes to heat. The temperature can reach 103°F, but we recommend around 99°F for comfort.

Power Outages
Power surges and brief outages are normal in Costa Rica. Don’t be alarmed—they usually resolve quickly.

Optional In-House Services
All services below are cash only and must be booked in advance through Carmin or Denise, especially during peak season:
• Massage therapy
• Horseback riding & waterfall hike – $70/person (3-hour tour)
• Babysitting – $20/hour
• Laundry service – $15 per kilo
(You’re also welcome to use the washer/dryer on the second floor)
